Opposite is a Hart Marine build that will be attempting to break the current speed sailing record of 46.82 knots. 

In 1993 an Australian team with their yacht “Yellow Pages Endeavour” broke the world sailing speed record at 46.52 knots in winds of 19 – 20 knots.  The same team, with a new yacht “Macquarie Innovations” and preparations well underway, are targeting 50 knots.

The Spring session of 2006 was highly successful for Macquarie Innovations and was able “to run faster than she had ever run before”. This means there are only two people in the world that have run faster. 

At this stage February/March is looking good as the next sailing session.
